PROCEDURE FOR BENEFITTING OF THE COMMERCIAL WARRANTY

The Commercial Warranty is in addition to and does not affect any of your statutory rights: it does not limit the legal warranty provided by the seller, if any, on the Products you have purchased. You are, in any case, entitled by law to remedies from the seller free of charge in the event of a lack of conformity of the goods.

a. Keep your proof of purchase at all times

To benefit from the Commercial Warranty, you must be able to provide proof of purchase of the Product, e.g. a receipt. Therefore, we recommend you to keep your proof of purchase at all times. When you wish to use your Commercial Warranty, we will ask you to provide us with your proof of purchase, in order to verify that (i) the information you have supplied to us is correct and (ii) you registered the Product(s) on the hOn app or on the Hoover website go.he.services/5yrs-we within 30 days of purchase. The inability to produce a valid proof of purchase may invalidate your Commercial Warranty.

b. When and how to contact the Guarantor

When you wish to use your Commercial Warranty or have any question for us, you can call our contact centre or visit us on go.he.services/5yrs-we.

Prior to contacting the Guarantor with respect to the Commercial Warranty, we recommend you to read the operating instructions and the information in the Troubleshooting section of the instruction manual and on the instruction for safe use and fittings, if any (“Instructions manuals”).

You can find the Instructions manuals: 1) in the Products packaging; and/or 2) on the hOn App if you register on it and/or 3) on the Hoover local website.

You should be able to provide us with all details, including serial number relating to your product and your proof of purchase.

TERMS AND OBJECT OF THE COMMERCIAL WARRANTY

The Guarantor will guarantee the conformity of the registered Products for a period of 3 years, starting from the date of purchase or delivery of the Product. A Product is deemed to be “conform” if the Product functions in conformity with the relevant instructions provided within the Instructions manuals.

The Product must have been purchased from a retailer within the Territory and maintained and used in accordance with instructions contained in the Instructions manuals.

If, during the Commercial Warranty period, a lack of conformity of the product – which was existing at the time of delivery – is ascertained, you are entitled to ask the Guarantor for the replacement of the Product(s) or the replacement of the component part of the Product(s) within two months from discovery of the defect. In order to do so, our contact centre agents will discuss all issues raised by you and will determine, depending on the severity of the defect of conformity and at our reasonable discretion, the most appropriate means of fixing the issue. As the case may be, the defect may be fixed through a troubleshooting session with you or may require the replacement of the Product(s) or the replacement of the component part of the Product(s).

If we require you to return us the unit or the component parts, we will send you a free of charge label to allow you to mail the item back to us or pass on to a collection shop, where appropriate. The product or component part does not need to be in the original packaging but must be securely boxed to protect from any additional damage. Please note that if we determine that, during our troubleshooting session, the product has been damaged or fall into one of our exclusions set out below, you may not be able to benefit from the Commercial Warranty.

LIMITATIONS OF THE COMMERCIAL WARRANTY

The Commercial Warranty does not operate if the lack of conformity of the Product(s) does not depend on a conformity defect existing at the time of delivery, such as: wear and tear (taking into account the average lifespan of the Product), negligence, poor maintenance due to failure to comply with Instructions manuals, incomplete adjustments, and/or connection to the electricity supply and correct filter use/installation/maintenance, where attributable to the consumer, electricity supply and filter use/installation/ maintenance that are not up to standard, not properly maintained or which by their characteristics do not allow for a workmanlike installation, and from transportation damage, where attributable to the consumer.

For battery-operated vacuum cleaners, the duration of the Commercial Warranty of the battery is limited to a period of 2 years and it must be recharged using the genuine Hoover charger provided.

The Commercial Warranty is excluded or is invalidated:

  1. in case of any faults which occur due to misuse or modification of the Product;
  2. in case of repair of, or interference with, the Product by any person not authorised by the manufacturer;
  3. in case any parts which are fitted to the Product are not original manufacturer’s parts;
